A new head has been elected to the Azerbaijan office of the Association of Independent Industrialists and Businessmen (MUSIAD).

According to the information given to FED.az by MUSIAD, the vice president of MUSIAD Azerbaijan branch Rashad Jabirli was elected as the new head.

Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagchi and vice president of MUSIAD Turkey office Davut Altunbash also participated in R. Jabirli's presentation to the public.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, R. Jabirli said that MÜSIAD Azerbaijan office will continue its efforts to further strengthen relations between the two countries.

R. Jabirli thanked him for the trust shown to him.

"I would like to express my gratitude to the members of the board, headed by Mr. Abdurrahman Uzun, the valuable MÜSIAD Azerbaijan family, and all MÜSIAD management, headed by the president of MÜSIAD, Mr. Mahmut Asmali, for the trust shown to me. I am aware of the responsibility I will bear. Getting a position at MÜSİAD is like a flag race. I believe that with the permission of God, I will take this flag that I received as a trust with the support of my leaders, the MUSIAD family and you, carrying it to higher heights in the conditions of unity and equality, and handing it over to our next member after me. I promise to you that I will work with all my strength during the time I hold this honorable and valuable position," he said.

Born in 1983 in the Guba region of Azerbaijan, R. Jabirli graduated from secondary school with honors and was admitted to the Faculty of Chemistry of Baku State University (BSU) and completed his bachelor's degree in 2004 and master's degree in 2006.

In 2019, he was admitted to the Faculty of Management of Bahçeşehir University (BAU) in Turkey, and in 2020 he graduated from that faculty and received an MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree.

R. Jabirli successfully participated in certificate programs at Queen's University of Northern Ireland (Queen's University Belfast) and Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in Turkey and received various certificates.

In 2005, R. Jabirli, who started working as a laboratory assistant in the Chemical Testing Laboratory of "Baku Steel Company", continued his work as a chemical engineer.

During the years 2008-2010, he was engaged in entrepreneurial activities as an individual entrepreneur and during the years 2010-2014, he worked as the head of the Sales and Marketing Department at the "NJT" company.

Later, in 2015, he founded "Polymart LLC" and continued his entrepreneurial activities. Currently, he is the Chief Executive Officer of that company. Since 2018, he is a member of the Management Board of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan.

From August 2019 until today, MÜSIAD has been acting as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors and the head of the Global Committee in Azerbaijan.

Since December 2018, MUSIAD has been a member of Azerbaijan. He is married and has 3 children.

It should be noted that the previous president of MUSIAD Azerbaijan branch was Abdurrahman Uzun (Trend).
