The dry control alarm valve is designed to prevent the risks of water freezing in the sprinkler system and damage to the accessories used in the system in unheated areas where the ambient temperature is likely to fall below +4°C. In this system, air or nitrogen gas is used instead of water. When an incident occurs, the sprinkler bursts, causing the air (or nitrogen gas) in the system to escape and the water in the reservoir to be transported to the fire area.
